There are a lot of clothing basics that you can cheat on for maternity clothes – steal a few of your husband’s sweaters or sweatshirts, wear a BellaBand to get a little more mileage out of pre-pregnancy tops that don’t fully cover your belly or to squeeze into those pre-pregnancy jeans that need to be worn unbuttoned. But one item you need for sure if you are going near a pool or beach is a maternity swimsuit. No matter how stretchy your regular pre-pregnancy swimsuit may have been, there is no way you can comfortably squeeze yourself into it once you are expecting! Nor, would we recommend this sort of body constriction for you and your baby’s health!

Fortunately there are a lot of great maternity swimwear styles to choose from today. Whether you are looking for a lot of room in the belly, more room in the bust or a little extra coverage over the hips or bottom, there is a style for you. Here are a few recommendations:
