  • For starters- I am 5’3 (and a half!) and I weigh approximately 135 lbs. I have a long torso and short legs. My spare tire is about two fistfulls big and side muffin top is and bra rolls are only about a two pinches (or one large pinch) of flab. That will give you an idea (hopefully) of how well this products works on a particular body type.

Heres a hint: I usually get medium sized clothes, but I bought a small size shaper and that worked out well for me.

Pros: It does a fairly good job of supporting if you are only moderately chubby. When you eat it holds your tummy in at about half roll (so suck in your tummy half way and you’ll get the idea). It does great with smoothing the rolls if they aren’t too big and flattens them a little too. If you pair it with a gel push up bra, you will create a nice full (and not saggy)booby effect. I must say I never looked quite so full and perky before. There is an opening at the crotch area that stays closed (due to overlap), but if you squat, like an ocean, it parts. It does make you actually appear a more fit than you are, but your chubby arms will surely be a telltale sign that say, “I’m a wearing a shaper, pass the doughnuts!!” Also, it keeps me comfortable in extremely hot weather strangely and I really didnt experience any leg roll ups. It’s thin and lightweight which somehow makes it feel less like shapewear.

    Cons:

I did say it parts, but not so wide that I trust it to function on it’s own without assistance. In other words, I parted it wider because I feared I’d pee on myself. Plus, being a prude, I wore underwear underneath the suit (some of you less bashful gals may not need to, there is what appears to be panty lining in the crotch area where it opens). Essentially I had to pull my underwear to the side (under the suit no less!- in hindsight it might have been easier if I had it over the suit instead) while holding open the bottom suit wider with tp in hand so as to wipe immediately. I said I have a long torso, right? Couple that with a smaller sized suit than normal and the shoulder straps will make it feel as if you’ve been carrying a 20 lb backpack with spaghetti straps way too long after about four hours. lf you are wearing a bra with a wire I guarantee you that you will feel it in about four hours as well since it is being squashed down in every which way by the suit.

All in all, vanity wins over comfort! It smooths the bumps, flattens the tummy moderatly (dont expect a miracle- a half miracle at best) gives the boobs a nice supportive look, and kept me comfortable in 102 degree heat. (wicked sweat away?) But don’t expect to wear this for more than 4 hours without starting to experience the side effects- the worst being the wire from my bra smashing down into the sides of me bilaterally and becoming quite sore.

This is the best shaper I’ve ever tried. It smooths everything out without feeling too restricting. I wanted to find something better than the long spanx ‘shorts’ that come up to just below my bra line, which is great around the hips and waist, but gives a lumpy bumpy look around my back where the top of the spanx and bra strap sit. I don’t have much ‘back fat’ but that style seems to make it appear that I do – not good. I looked around and this is recommended on other sites and regularly gets 5 stars which is why I tried it – and I am impressed.

This all-in-one smooths it all out and thanks to the shoulder straps I don’t feel like it’s about to fall down or shift about when I’m wearing it. The smooth shape I get makes up for the fact you have to practically undress to pee (but who cares – nobody sees you doing that!) I like that I can push the panels that cut across the bra area to the sides so it doesn’t interfere with the bust line. It feels light and not at all sweaty. It’s great under pants or dresses and skirts. It gives great support and slims me down without feeling like I’m being squeezed – I’d recommend this to my friends (and have!)

A great lightweight but very effective shaper.

Unless you are skinny, there will be chunks of you that move around when you move. This suit works great as it keeps your mid section and thighs in one place. Just think of it as the compression pack for the sleeping bag you use for camping: the bulge is still there, only compressed. I wear it with a strapless bra so the straps don’t cut into my shoulders, I take off my top to pull this thing down to use the restroom. My clothes look much smoother on me when I have this on. Between this suit that makes it troublesome to use the restroom and the two-piece design that cuts into my stomach and gives me gas and tummy aches, I choose the suit.

  • I am absolutely happy with this product, I don’t have too much to smooth, and the M size I ordered was the right for me, the material is very light and tight enough same time. The best thing is that it does not cause the “sausage effect” on my legs :) and the bundle of a back fat caused by other products that don’t have the shoulder straps is gone too :) I didn’t wear it out yet but the event I bought this flexees is soon, hope all is fine :)

  • I’m a professional costumer and I make a lot of superhero costumes. As you may imagine, the pursuit of good underwear is a lifetime saga for me.

Full disclosure: I’m 5’6″ and athletic from years of martial arts. I have no tummy or muffin top to speak of, but like all healthy women I have a layer of fat under my skin. And most underwear creates lumps at the edges–that’s just a fact.

This lightweight singlet does not compress–it smooths everything from shoulders to mid-thigh. I can wear my own bra with it, for push-up. For dresses that are deeply plunging at the neckline, the stretchy nylon bust of this singlet controls the jiggle enough that I don’t need a separate bra. (I am an athletic B/C cup, so other ladies may not be able to exercise this option.)

In short, this singlet is darn near a perfect solution for me. I’ve already recommended this to all my costuming clients, and I’m going to buy a second one ASAP.

When choosing your size, keep in mind that no “slimming” bodysuit is going to make you skinnier, despite what the advertising implies. If you wear something too tight it will squish all the appealing curves into a vague sausage-shape.

Also, knit fabrics like nylon tricot (“spandex”) distribute their stretch in four directions. If you stretch it 75% widthwise, it can only stretch 25% lengthwise, which contributes to the shoulder-strap digging other reviewers have reported. So if you have any doubts about your size, order a size up. If you are thin but tall, order a size up. If you are petite but well-padded, order a size up.

In all, this is a great product for women who don’t need or want a lot of compression.
