I have a few upcoming summer events that I’m going to be wearing clingy dresses to (a bridesmaid dress and one for my high school reunion), and I was looking for a higher-waisted product to create a lean line, but didn’t want to spend a lot of money for a slimmer that I won’t wear too often, so didn’t want to invest in Spanx since they are so expensive. These Flexees are great for the price!

The weave on these is hard to see in the image, but they are thicker than Spanx and are not made out of the pantyhose/nylon fabric that Spanx are made out of. Instead, they are a nice nylon/poly blend (like the fabric that slips are made out of) that will not snag or run as easily as other products. I was also worried that the seams/lines on the front might be thick and would show through tight clothing, but they definitely will not. They seams lay flat and do not show through at all.

Another nice feature is that the waistband contains two rows of that rubber stripping to hold them up into place via your body heat, and it seems to work well. (I have only tried them on, and will try to remember to update my review after wearing these out to make sure that they stay up.)

The only downside is that while they do make me look sleek and get rid of my bulges/muffin top, but they don’t quite pull my tummy in as much as my Spanx do (and, of course, I’m not sure if they are meant to since they are labeled as a “Thigh Slimmer”). That is to say, they do still pull my tummy in, but I can see a bit of a pooch. If you need more tummy control, then these Lite Control ones may not give you enough tightness through the stomach. (The Amazon product info doesn’t mention that they are Lite Control [or perhaps I missed it if it does], but the tag labels them as a Lite Control slimmer.)

    I also had a hard time finding a size chart for these anywhere on-line before ordering them, so hopefully it will help to know that they correspond to regular sizing: S = 4-6, M = 8-10, L = 12-14, XL = 14-16, 2XL = 18-20, 3XL = 22-24, and 4XL =26-18.

Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase!

  • The fabric is lightweight, so they don’t really slim your thighs that much. The high-waist and tummy panel provide comfortable, light control, and the edges don’t roll. However, I have wide-ish hips, so it took some effort to get them on and off. Also, if you are allergic to latex like me, you may end-up with a rash. The upper edge is lined with latex so that it won’t slide down.
